What we usually find
These are the causes we find most often.
Blocked inlet screens
Small mesh screens where the hoses connect catch grit from the pipes. When they block, water barely gets in. We clean or replace them.
Failed inlet valve
The valve opens to let water in. When it fails, nothing happens. We replace it.
Kinked or perished hose
We check and replace the inlet hoses.
Water level sensor
If the machine thinks it is already full, it will not fill. We test and replace the sensor.

Before you call
- Check both taps are turned on fully.
- Check water runs normally from the laundry tub tap.
Anything past these checks is a job for us. Please do not open the back or top of the machine, and never work on it while it is plugged in. Water and power do not mix, and a heavy drum can shift without warning.
