What we usually find
These are the leaks we find most often.
Split or loose inlet hose
The hoses from the taps to the machine perish over time. A split hose under pressure can flood a laundry. We replace them.
Torn door seal
Front loaders have a rubber seal around the door. Tears and holes let water out during the wash. We replace it.
Leaking pump or hose inside
A cracked pump housing or loose clamp inside the machine. We fix or replace the part.
Too much detergent
Too much suds can push water out of the drawer or the door. We check the machine and tell you if this is the cause.
Tub or seal wear
On older machines the tub seal or bearing seal can fail. We tell you honestly if it is worth fixing.

We fix it
Most repairs are done on the spot with parts from the van. Our work has a 12 month warranty.
Before you call
- If water is spreading, turn off both taps behind the machine and stop the cycle.
- Check the hoses where they meet the taps are done up firmly.
Anything past these checks is a job for us. Please do not open the back or top of the machine, and never work on it while it is plugged in. Water and power do not mix, and a heavy drum can shift without warning.

I live in a unit. What should I do?
Turn off the taps and switch off the machine at the wall if it is safe. See our page on leaks in units.
How often should hoses be replaced?
